Electricians Posted 8 months ago - Expired 7 months ago
We are a very successful (not to mention award winning) housing provider, managing homes on behalf of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. Our vision is A fresh approach to people, homes and communities. Providing and maintaining quality housing for our tenants is important for the health and well-being of our local community, as well as increasing the economic growth in our area. Right now, we’re looking for Electricians to ensure that our tenants receive a first class service.
Professionalism, quality of craftsmanship and excellent customer service are the benchmarks of great Electricians. Organising your own workload, you’ll take a real team oriented approach to your activities. You will work to all current Health and Safety legislation alongside our other policies and procedures. Through our in house manager/mentor group, you will be involved in your own personal development and have promotion opportunities to progress within the organisation.
City and Guilds 2391 certified, you’ll understand BS7671, 2008 and 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and possess an AM2 qualification. Successful candidates will gain the 18th Edition through this recruitment once in post. You’ll be carrying out a wide range of diagnostic fault finding, repairs and maintenance works along with rewires and upgrades to our housing stock. You’ll use your experience interpreting detailed electrical drawings and diagrams, so that you can complete works on a huge range of specialist equipment such as fire alarms, air source heat pumps and emergency lighting. Not to mention ensuring that all electrical test certificates and reports are completed to specification.
Being an Electrician might seem like a very male dominated career, but here at Berneslai Homes, we relish the idea of balancing out the gender split. That’s why, in these new roles, we’re just as interested in hearing from talented, ambitious female Electricians as we are their male counterparts. It’s about recruiting the most talented people out there – regardless of gender.
In return, we are committed to being a good employer, offering a wide range of employee benefits including flexible working packages, an excellent pension scheme, discounted gym membership, walking groups, healthcare cash plans, health and wellbeing checks to name a few. What’s more, we particularly welcome applications from women who are underrepresented in the service.
