An excellent opportunity has arisen to work in a dedicated Bereavement Services team based at Chesterfield and District Crematorium, providing a caring and compassionate service to the bereaved, you will have the ability to communicate sensitively and courteously with the bereaved and those assisting them.
We are looking for a hardworking, flexible individual whose main duties will include the operation of cremation equipment, chapel attendance and gardening.
Demonstrating self-motivation and initiative you will be well organised and methodical. You must be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and will have the ability to work in a pressured yet sensitive environment
The successful candidate will work 37 hours over 5 days, according to the needs of the service and at the direction of the Bereavement Services Officer.
Previous experience of working in a bereavement related environment would be an advantage as would grounds maintenance experience.
The successful candidate will be required to work towards holding a certificate of proficiency for the operation of cremation equipment within 3 months.
