We are looking to recruit an L & D Business Partner for our HR and L & D team within the council. This is a new role and signals a shift in the way we support our managers to drive up employee engagement and performance.
Working with the wider HR team, you will lead the delivery of the workforce strategy and learning and development strategy. You will support managers across the organisation to develop their staff, identifying learning and development needs and finding innovative ways to meet these within budgets.
You will be a confident communicator, experienced in face to face training delivery and well versed in online/blended learning systems. You will be passionate about learning and your own development and will role model this throughout the organisation.
You will support the ongoing achievement of Investor in People standard and ensure that the workforce is supported to accomplish this. You will lead on the delivery of the apprenticeship programme and be experienced in managing training providers, ideally with knowledge of public sector procurement processes.
You will have experience in a business partner role at a senior level and will be comfortable working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation including elected members.
