The borough has significant investment programmes planned or underway and is experiencing unprecedented growth which is set to continue.

We are in a great position to continue to shape this growth and create great places with a genuine commitment to achieving high quality design.

We are a high performing council and we want you to share these attributes. Our team needs great communicators who can engage effectively with others at all levels.

You will need confidence, in depth knowledge, a delivery mind set and the passion to help make our organisation the very best. In return, you'll have the opportunity to hone your expertise in a local authority environment.

You will be needed to demonstrate previous success in development management along with a track record showing your extensive experience.

By doing this to the highest standards you will not only play a key role in ensuring that we continue to meet performance targets but crucially improve the quality of development and ensure development is based firmly on sustainable design principles.

We’re looking to grow our service to manage the ambitious programme of development and new posts have been created within the Planning Service.

You will be involved with the identification of planning breaches and handle enforcement cases involving all aspects of investigation, monitoring and formal proceedings.

We offer a friendly working environment, flexible working hours, generous holiday entitlement and a good local government pension. It is a fantastic place to live, work and visit. We are an employer who supports, who is flexible but who demands the very best.

If you think you match the above profiles , then please contact Paul Staniforth, Development Management and Conservation Manager on (01246) 345781 for an informal chat concerning the Enforcement roles.
