Human Resource Managers x 2 (Doncasters Bramah & Doncasters Ross & Catherall)
The Doncasters Group is a leading international manufacturer of high-precision alloy components which are designed to operate in the most demanding of conditions. Our products are innovative and tenacious and we are looking for two Human Resource Managers who can bring a creative and passionate approach to Doncasters based at either of our two leading sites in Sheffield.
Our Bramah site is a state-of-the-art aerospace facility and leading supplier of civil exhaust systems to the aerospace market.
Our Ross and Catherall Site is a world leader in the production of Barstrock and has been operating since the early 1960s.
The multi-skilled workforce of these sites offers an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Manager to work as part of the Site Leadership Team at each of the respective facilities; Bramah or Ross and Catherall; to implement and manage the group and divisional People Strategy for the site. We are looking for experienced individuals who are self-motivated to deliver a high-quality HR service, covering expertise such as employee relations, union management, performance and reward.
In these busy and diverse roles your responsibilities will include:
- A commitment to drive and embed the HR strategic pillars throughout the site, to ensure the discovery, advancement and engagement of talent.
- An overarching responsibility to deliver the Global HR function transformation plan at a site level, implementing global HR processes, systems and activities driving consistency and efficiency.
-Regular Management Information reporting to provide insights and develop action plans to aid the effectiveness of the HR function and improve site performance.
-Lead the site’s HR function, and own the entire HR lifecycle, from recruitment to driving, communicating and building commitment to performance management and policies through to advising on the range of ER topics.
-Delivery of HR Service excellence, reducing operational HR risk and ensuring legal compliance.
-Coaching Line Managers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to manage their teams and people.
-Providing ad hoc support to the Site Leadership Team with activities such as the annual pay review process and Engagement Survey actions.
-Active collaboration and support to the Global HR function across the group.
Ideal applicants will have extensive experience in a generalist human resources role, of which a significant proportion is at a senior site level with robust exposure to trade unions or other employee representative parties and strong understanding of employment law.
As a HR Manager in a Site role you must be able to work just as easily on your own or as part of a strong mobile team, freely sharing your skills, knowledge and passion.
Candidates must hold a CIPD qualification, preferably Level 7 or equivalent and a coaching qualification.
