Role: POS Estimator/Buyer
Salary: Up to £35K DOE
Location: This role is available office based in South Yorkshire, Oxfordshire or Scotland. Home based will also be considered.
Our client are a print marketing business whose background is in buying and managing print services for their customers. With ambitious growth plans they aim to driving up marketing ROI through omni-channel marketing campaigns
You’ll be working as a key member of the category management team, providing POS expertise for the team along with managing prices and suppliers in support of our customer service and sales teams.
To ensure the quick flow of accurate, reliable print prices to the customer services team and the category management team
To provide POS knowledge for the category team; managing pricing and supply chain in support of the customer service and sales teams
Administration of the category management databases and the reports available to suppliers
Management of the business’ file copy and print innovation rooms
Providing support to the category team, mainly in the pricing POS enquiries from/to the customer services team
Analysis of estimates and tenders and benchmarking of market prices
Analysis of suppliers’ pricing through our online systems
Pre–qualification of tenders
Assisting category management in the speedy turn around on sales enquiries
Assisting customer services team in sourcing solutions
Monitoring our enquiry board to ensure estimates are delivered to meet client requests
Material sample management through merchant liaison
Assisting customer services team in sourcing best-in-class samples from suppliers
Updating sales teams with market knowledge and innovation
Management of the supplier feedback database information to enable review meetings
Quality control and assurance of the file copies prior to being delivered to clients
Management of file copies to ensure correct storage and availability for the business
Market research and analysis of supplier prices/data analysis
Onboarding of suppliers onto our internal systems
Dealing with suppliers’ enquiries about our online tools
Evaluation of prices/statistics for feedback through systems
Issues management monitoring and resolution reports written and approved to manage ongoing supplier and customer service delivery
The successful candidate:
Will have experience and knowledge in estimating/buying/procurement of POS, large and small format digital and promotional goods. More than that you’ll be an expert in POS and the ‘go to’ person internally. You’ll be confident in building and maintaining supplier relationships and have a deep understanding of supply chain. You’ll be ‘hands on’ and a ‘doer’ by nature and feel confident challenging specifications with clients, selling yourself as an expert and working consultatively with them.
