Role: Digital Marketing Executive

Salary: up to £25K DOE

Location: Sheffield

Our client is an award winning creative agency.

The role:

You will be responsible for managing all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search engines. To support the SEO and content work you will be responsible for creating and implementing Social Media plans and campaigns.


 Optimise copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
 Create and implement Social Media plans and campaigns
 Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimisation
 Research and implement search engine optimisation recommendations
 Research and analyse competitor advertising links and social media activity
 Develop and implement link building strategy
 Creation of rich editorial SEO content for use on our websites
 Identify and approach websites for link acquisition, seeing this through from inception to delivery
 Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
 Work with the Marketing team to ensure SEO best practice is consistently deployed throughout all activity

The successful candidate:

You will be a SEO and Social Media expert with the ability to manage on-site optimisation, create optimised user-centric content and manage link acquisition activity across a number of clients.
You will have a working understanding of current digital marketing best practices, with a focus on keeping up to date with industry news. You will also be an excellent writer, both from a technical SEO viewpoint and at creating engaging content for browsers.
You will be analytical, with experience of using SEO tracking and reporting tools, you will also be a quick learner when it comes to content management systems and social media automation tools like Hootsuite.
You’ll be able to embrace new challenges and take on projects outside of the SEO remit as part of our tight-knit marketing and development team, your opinion counts and you’ll be exposed to all of areas of the business including the senior team where good ideas are always welcomed.


 Proven SEO experience preferably with a Digital Marketing Agency
 Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
 In depth experience with Google Analytics
 Proven experience with AHrefs or an equivalent toolset
 Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
 Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and Social Media
