Goods Inwards/ Facilities Manager - Doncaster

Role: Goods Inwards/Facilities Manager

Salary: Up to £28000 DOE

Location: Doncaster

Our client is one of the UK’s largest wholesalers offering a product range through exceptional customer service and efficient delivery.

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a forward thinking, highly successful generic and parallel import distribution company. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established Goods Inwards department who are committed to maintaining high standards of GMP/GDP and continuous improvement. The site takes responsibility for the receiving imported products from the UK and Europe. The role is part of a fast paced warehouse environment and will be responsible for a team comprising of 11 personnel.
 Maintain GMP/GDP standards across the warehouse.
 Participate in inspections as required.
 Ensure safe and efficient running of the warehouse
 Ensure maximum output of the warehouse and optimum efficiencies from all employees.
 Ensure health and safety standards are achieved and maintained
 Ensure the highest quality standards are achieved and maintained
 Ensure site security is achieved and maintained
 Drive continuous improvement across the department
 Ensure adequate training is provided for all personnel within the department
 Ensure controls are maintained in line with Home office licences and assist during home office inspections
 Maintain quality standards in line with Good manufacturing Practice and alert any patient safety issues or non-compliance to the QPs/Quality Assurance manager
 Work with other departments to achieve overall business objectives
 Ensure equipment in maintained within the department.
 Raise appropriate documentation in line with the company’s quality system (deviations, change control, SOPs)
 Ensure the department is complaint with legislative changes.
 Ensure the two units are maintained to a high standard by organising any maintenance work to be carried out in a timely manner.

The successful candidate:

 Will have experience in a 'Goods in' role
 Excellent managerial skills – must have previous management or supervisor experience
 Ability to think independently and problem solve
 Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
 A hands-on approach is essential
