Purchasing Administrator - Salford, Manchester

Role: Purchasing Administrator

Salary: £17500 per annum

Location: Salford, Manchester

Our client are one of the UK's largest national wholesalers.

The role:

 Working with Excel to place manufacture orders for suppliers
 Placing these orders on the IT system
 Sending PDF Orders off to suppliers
 Chasing outstanding orders with suppliers
 Transferring stock into depots from central distribution depots
 Correcting any price issues on invoices
 Keeping costs up to date on the system
 Telephoning suppliers for answers on outstanding orders.
 General office and administration duties, supporting other team members during busy periods.
 Any other tasks the department requires support

The successful candidate:

Skills required
 Numerate: able to assimilate data, apply accuracy and confident when working with figures.
 Good communication skills, by phone and face to face.
 Organised approach to work: able to plan and co-ordinate their own workloads.
 IT literate: preferably experience of using MS Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
 Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint would be useful but not essential.
Personal qualities
 Reliable, conscientious and able to demonstrate a good work ethic.
 Smart and personable: friendly approach to dealing with visitors and telephone enquiries.
 Team player: will work with everyone in the office so needs
