Customer Service Manager - Sheffield

Role: Customer Service Manager

Salary: £22-24K DOE

Location: Sheffield

Our client is an award-winning specialist in their field and offer a bespoke service to their customers.

The role:

Customer service is central to what our client does and are looking for someone to join the team to ensure that their clients are getting the best possible service.

Some organisations would call this “account management”, but this role is not about selling their products and services - it’s about ensuring their customers are happy. As such, you will be keeping in regular contact with customers over the phone and in person to make sure they are pleased with the service, and then feeding back to the team.


This will be a varied role, proactively contacting customers as well as responding to any issues. The below should give you a better idea of some of the responsibilities involved:

Performing regular service reviews with clients over the phone and on customer premises
Building relationships with our clients and being available to talk to them when needed
Managing support contract renewals and drafting new agreements
Dealing with customer service issues and customer complaints
Coordinating a response to any issues across the teams
Working with the team to continue to improve our award-winning customer service.
An average day might involve carrying out a service review with a client, passing this feedback to the team, dealing with a customer who is concerned about an issue, drafting a new support agreement and emailing a client about the renewal of their existing agreement.

The successful candidate:

This role would suit an experienced and capable Account Manager/Customer Service led candidate. You will be a great communicator. Much of this role is about listening carefully to clients so we want people who can listen as well as talk.

You should enjoy making new contacts and be great at building and developing relationships. You will be working closely with the teams that support the clients, so this is key both with the team and with existing clients.

We are looking for someone who is organised, good at following process, and is able to follow up issues quickly, coordinating across our teams.
