Our client is a fast growing, award winning FMCG business.
This is a newly created role, and an exciting opportunity to join an established team during a period of tremendous growth. You will be joining the Sales management structures to lead and further develop the office based sales team. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will provide line management and coaching for your own expanding team (currently at 11) and be the main point of contact for sales queries.
As well as setting up procedures, completing 121s and developing the sales training manuals, you will also remain a hands on team player in order to provide cover and problem shoot.
Through your understanding of the sales function, you will search out efficiencies to be made in our reporting and systems, analysing data and processes to demonstrate how we can do more and do it better.
You will liaise with various departments to ensure that the sales element of a trading process flows smoothly, from business development for the inclusion of new sales leads, through to IT with the roll out of a new CRM package and other operational departments (Customer Services, Finance and Warehouse).
Whilst there is a busy day-to-day job to undertake, we envisage this new role also being key to contributing towards the growth strategy going forward making for an exciting and promising opportunity.

You must be a confident communicator and adaptable, thriving under pressure and motivated by results. You will be a natural leader and know how to motivate a team – assisting with their professional development and taking on full management accountability.
You will be able to break down operational and strategic goals into day to day activity and be tenacious to see these through to tangible results, with your teams’ successes being just as rewarding as your own achievements. You will be confident using IT systems covering both standard/bespoke packages and CRM systems, drawing information and reports where necessary to direct team activity.
Experience in leading a sales team within a commercial setting is necessary and you will also have experience in dealing with customers via phone and in a team environment.
As our client trade internationally, we’re keen to hear from people who have language skills or experience of living and working overseas, but these are not essential.
