At Hill Care we specialise in quality, personalised care, offering exceptional levels of service and an improved quality of life for those who reside with us. We are currently recruiting for a Cook for 20 hours per week at our Burton Closes Hall Care Home. The Cook will be responsible for organising and controlling the efficiency and economical production of quality food within the allowed budget, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.

We provide professional training, personal development and promotion pathways to ensure our staff are able to continually progress in their careers. Key responsibilities: 1. Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, as and when required. 2. Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary, and take into account the preferences of individual clients. 3. Liaise with the Home Manager when planning / costing menus in order to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh foods. 4. Arrange / participate in staff and client meetings as required. 5. Maintain accurate records of food supplies, and freezer / fridge temperatures. 6. Ensure stock rotation. Order stocks and check deliveries, and check and value stocks as required by the Home Manager.
