We are looking for somebody with experience in management within the commercial painting and decorating industry, somebody who is not easily overwhelmed, is organised, has a positive attitude, is honest, proactive and has common sense.
Must have good understanding of computers, and be confident enough in there own ability to react to duties as they arise quickly, efficiently and professionally.
Experience in taking measurements on site and from drawings is essential, along with good communication skills and man management skills.
The contracts manager will be involved with the planning of projects of secured works, this will include making sure all health and safety requirements are met, labour is delegated correctly and working efficiently, ordering materials and plant, keeping regular contact with site managers, project managers and quantity surveyors of each project.
Typically you will be overseeing between 25-30 decorators over 10-15 projects at a time however this could rise or fall dependant on the time of year.
You will be expected to be on site twice per week to ensure the projects are running smoothly, capturing any variations as they arise, taking photos where necessary of areas/items or trades that may be hindering our progress. Attending meetings as projects require and keeping a smart dress code at all times.
Weekly project reports will be prepared for the managing director.
The contracts manager will also be looking for potential opportunity's that may arise to bring in new customers, and also assist in any pricing of works as deemed necessary by the managing director.
You will be responsible for creating our own snagging report prior to any projects finishing to ensure the highest quality of finish is being achieved.
