Nicholas Associates Group (Engineering & Technical Division) is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client for a Quality Manager based in our clients’ modern metals manufacturing facility in Sheffield.

Overview

The key focus of the position will be to ensure all Quality Management Systems are implemented and maintained to a high standard. The role would also be suitable for a Senior Quality Engineer looking for a step up and take management responsibilty for a Quality Administrator / Technician

KEY DUTIES

- As the Quality Manager you will be responsible for implementing, developing and maintaining company accreditations (ISO9001, 18001, AS9100 & NADCAP.)
- You will be accountable for providing guidance and support for one Quality Administrator / Technician.
- Internal auditing and overseeing quality assurance auditors.
- Raise customer concession requests when required.
- Liaise with customers regarding quality issues.
- Create and report KPI information.
- Conduct analytical root cause analysis and implement robust solutions.
- Control all aspects of quality within internal manufacturing and business processes.
- Perform quality assessments of suppliers.
- Promoting a Quality culture across the business.
- Visit customers and suppliers throughout the UK when necessary.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience within a Quality Manager or a Senior Quality Engineer position with the desire to develop is essential.
- Previous experience within a metals manufacturing environment is essential.
- Ideally, you will hold a recognised qualification (HND/HNC) in Engineering.
- You must have experience of implementing and managing ISO 9001, 18001, AS9100 and NADCAP.
- Any experience maintaining health & safety policies is beneficial
