If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you. 2018 is set to be another exciting year for us, so we’re looking for an up-and-coming marketing professional to play a pivotal role in the growth of our business.

NMC Surfacing has already established itself positively, in what can be perceived as sector which isn’t all that dynamic. Our core business is building and maintaining car parks, principally for large retail clients, but don’t despair… we know that we need a ‘marketing star’ to help us deliver the exciting strategic marketing initiatives we have planned for 2018 and beyond. Our marketing initiatives will be highlighting how our team of experts are re-writing the rules with our clients.

So, put aside any pre-conceptions about motorway resurfacing, or us working on people’s driveways; our dynamic and fast-paced consultant-led business is trusted by some of the UK’s largest retailers. They know that we’ll ensure the external environment around their stores matches the excellent brand experience on the inside. And we don’t do that from some cabin or shed in a yard somewhere, but from our Regional Offices.

We’re sure you’ll get the sense already that NMC are something a little different from the norm!


Based at our head office, a bright shiny office in Doncaster, you’ll be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering all our marketing activities.

But don’t worry; you won’t be on your own. We’ve a part-time Marketing Director, who’s already formulated the bones of our plans for 2018 and we need you to work with them to build on this and take ownership to make it happen.

You’ll be managing multiple workstreams and liaising with external suppliers, agencies and partners. Alongside this, you’ll have direct responsibility for updating the website and driving engagement through social media, keeping the data in our CRM system up-to-date and compliant, creating outbound communications in the form of marketing emails, newsletters, presentations and helping organise events.

We’ll be constantly evolving our marketing collateral, reviewing our literature, website, sales presentations and proposals. So, if you can turn your hand to copywriting too that would be a bonus. There will be lots to do and one thing’s for sure, you won’t ever be bored!

We have some great people in our business already and you need to be someone that they can rely on. They’ll be able to trust that you’ll step up when it’s needed and you’ll have the same desire to deliver and get the job done as they have. These are just some of the things which make us stand out from the competition and such a successful business.

With a number of years’ experience of marketing, and ideally marketing qualifications, we’re not looking for someone that’s been there and done it all. What we are looking for, is to see a spark which tells us you’re on the rise and looking for the opportunity to shine.

We need you to possess the rare combination of organisation and creativity. We want you to be exploding with ideas and yet be smart enough to be able to position them in the context of acquiring more customers and retaining and growing our existing ones.

We need a ‘doer’ and if what you need to do is new to you, it may be new to us too. We’ll want you to take the initiative and be confident in your own abilities to research, learn and execute intelligently.

Finally, we’ve started to get more rigorous about tracking and reporting on the value of what we invest in our marketing. Therefore, we need you to be comfortable with the concepts of driving a response and reporting on the results of your labours.
We want the right person to join our team, and whilst your qualifications and experience are important, being comfortable that you are that ‘right person’ is key for us.

Of course 3 or 4 years of practical marketing experience is a benefit, especially if its client side, B2B and results orientated. If you’ve managed external suppliers and can show your knowledge across multiple channels, then that’s great too.
But above all we need to be excited by the prospect of you joining the team.
