The Sheffield City Region is a strong public-private partnership tasked with driving economic growth across the city region’s economy. After the recent election of our first City Region Mayor, there is no doubt that this is an exciting time to be part of the Sheffield City Region Executive Team and build on investment across the city region that has already created 37,000 jobs in the last four years. With a programme totalling over £1bn to invest in our economy, a growing base of innovative and enterprising high value businesses and an ambitious forward strategy.
We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter to join our team as a Senior Programme Manager focused on our work around Skills. They will have a strong background in skills with a detailed understanding of policy in context and of working with others to develop innovative solutions to challenges.
Areas of work include (but are not exclusive of): Devolution of the Adult Education Budget, High Level Skills strategy, Apprenticeships, Skills Capital Commissioning and Skills Bank Phase 2.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across a variety of public and private partner organisations, you will be a persuasive and effective communicator with well-developed negotiating and presentation skills.
