Can you meet the challenge?

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our tram team. You will have day to day responsibility for ensuring South Yorkshire Supertram’s (SYSL’s) maintenance performance is monitored and reported, asset condition is monitored, maintenance plans are adhered to and engineering risks are managed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring SYSL are meeting their engineering standards, engineering risks are identified and mitigated and that the condition of the Supertram asset is kept under constant review. This role provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to take forward the implementation and management of a Strategic Asset Management Plan for the Supertram asset and development of an associated asset management system for the Supertram asset. A key part of this role is engaging with stakeholders, to ensure that SYPTEs requirements around the management of the Supertram asset are met and appropriate asset investment decisions are taken.
If so, do you have the qualities?

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with previous experience of working in an engineering/asset management role. The successful candidate will have experience in overseeing the management of engineering assets along with an understanding of the principals of asset management.

Additionally, you will need to have the following qualities:

• Strong stakeholder engagement
• Experience of service improvement
• Numerate and computer literate
• Can work across multi service functions
