Our client is a small yet well-established supplier of hygiene and washroom products, supplying a wide range of sectors and client, mostly in the Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire region.

Our client is a small yet well-established supplier of hygiene and washroom products, supplying a wide range of sectors and client, mostly in the Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire region.

They are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive whose main responsibility will be to bring in new business. The role involves approximately 75% of the time spent on the road and 25% within the Head Office to develop and nurture accounts.

Key duties include:
•Working with the Head Office you are to generate a definitive sales pipeline through the identification of new targets/prospects and manage the pipeline against KPIs.
•Drive lead generation and new revenue to increase client growth and improve retention, and to drive new business development in a systematic fashion.
•Undertake detailed research on prospects and key accounts to identify business issues and potential needs/opportunities.
•Generate sales leads and meetings from the active target/prospect list using targeted and relevant communication with key prospects.
•Structure corporate presentations at a high level to develop accounts which will be primarily based in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
•However this may periodically include traveling further distances as well.
•Required to develop, close opportunities and manage your regional accounts.
•Ensures all business development activity in the office is recorded using the company’s sales management and CRM system.
•Provide accurate management information and sales reports on a timely basis to the Managing Director as required.
•Works in line with the company’s values, of collaboration, leadership, excellence, agility, respect and responsibility.
•Works collaboratively across all areas within the business development team to maximise your contribution to the company and accounts.

Essential Skills & Attributes:
•Tenacity and determination to succeed who enjoys winning new accounts.
•Proven track record of identifying, winning and nurturing your own accounts and the rewards that come from this.
•Experience of working to targets and KPIs.
•Strong Customer Service, sales and relationship management skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident telephone manner.
•Confident presentation skills and experience to pitching to senior management.
