Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading engineering company in the recruitment of a permanent Contracts Controller.

Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading engineering company in the recruitment of a permanent Contracts Controller.

The focus of the role is to provide professional management of contracts with the aim of achieving efficient and competitive levels of service.

Key responsibilities
• To assume responsibility for contract performance at order receipt or Letter of Intent stage.
• Review contract terms and Letters of Credit to verify the acceptability of commercial and financial terms.
• To initiate in-house production and external purchase by the input of works orders.
• To implement formal contract reviews with appropriate departmental representation to agree the requirements of the contract and plan accordingly.
• Manage the contract to budget and prepare financial performance statements to verify.
• Manage customer demand with accurate forecasting to facilitate capacity planning by Production Control.
• To provide a professional and constructive approach to contract management and to ensure the customer’s requirements are met efficiently.
• To provide commercial support to the department’s purchasing and proposals work as necessitated by workload and staff absence.

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
• Extensive experience in the administration of sales, purchasing, shipping and contract negotiation or lesser experience backed by an appropriate graduate qualification.
• Commercial awareness
• Language skills preferred – particularly French, Spanish or German (business level/fluent)
