Sue Ross Recruitment currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Manager to join our client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Sheffield.

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will undertake work on behalf of a varied client base, ranging from small businesses to large multi-national accounts.

Duties and responsibilities include;

• Reconciling bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, sales and purchase ledgers
• Preparing month end journals, maintaining balance sheets
• Undertaking annual tax calculations
• Maintaining general journals and ledgers, including receivables and payables
• Preparing VAT reconciliations

The successful candidate will have proven strong bookkeeping and accounting skills. You must be IT literate and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Candidates with previous experience of working within a practice environment will be at an advantage. Ideally you will also hold an AAT Level 4 qualification.
