Sue Ross Recruitment currently have a fantastic opportunity to work with our client, a well-established charity based in Sheffield. They seek a Deputy Store Manager to join their retail team based in west Sheffield.

The role involves assisting the Shop Manager in managing the day to day running of the store, stepping up to act as manager in their absence.

Duties and responsibilities include;

• Helping to achieve profit targets by maximising sales
• Helping to manage a team of shop volunteers, ensuring a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times
• Actively supporting fundraising promotions as directed by the charity
• Promoting and advertising the work carried out by the charity
• Ensuring the store has a high standard of displays, rotating stock to ensure fresh/innovative displays
• Opening and closing the premises, responding to any emergency call outs
• Logging records of donations
• Monitoring stock turn around/stock control onto the shop floor
• Maintaining relationships with the public, councils, landlords and neighbouring retailers
• Recruiting quality, reliable volunteers and staff to achieve store targets
• Training and developing staff and volunteers
• Ensuring that all administrative duties are actioned accordingly

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, well-established charity working within a friendly team environment.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you drive and have full time access to a vehicle. You must also be flexible with regards to workloads as the role may involve occasional evening and weekend work. This role involves working 3 days per week, Monday-Sunday.
