Sue Ross Recruitment are working with this large, City Centre organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced HR Consultant for a period of 6-12 months. The organisation is currently going through a period of heavy organisational change and as such it would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to possess experience in change management ideally within a large and diverse company.

Sue Ross Recruitment are working with this large, City Centre organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced HR Consultant for a period of 6-12 months. The organisation is currently going through a period of heavy organisational change and as such it would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to possess experience in change management ideally within a large and diverse company.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

• Delivering a professional and expert HR service to managers
• Dealing with complex casework
• Dealing mainly with sickness and absence management cases
• Providing complex HR support and advice
• Conducting sickness and absence reporting
• Providing support during formal procedures
• Developing positive employee relations
• Defining and overseeing the corporate job grading and allocations process
• Implementing and improving policies
• Contributing to effective project management
• Defining and reviewing standards for HR communication and information channels
• Ensuring HR information is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose
• Escalating and referring issues as necessary to ensure a co-ordinated whole service approach
• Building and maintaining key relationships


The successful candidate must be able to:

• Plan ahead in a systematic and organised manner
• Work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Make key operational decisions
• Display dedication to the continuous improvement of processes and services
• Work collaboratively
• Inspire confidence

Large complex business experience is essential for this role as is the academic qualification to back this up.
