Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading global engineering organisation who have European head offices in Sheffield.

They are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to join their well-established team in Sheffield. The Account Manager will develop and management strategies for all key accounts, establishing excellent working relationships at all levels to ensure that customers’ best interests are incorporated in quotes, bids, and proposals presented by the company. Due to the nature of the role, occasional travel will be involved both across Europe and internationally, which will include customer entertainment and trade show attendance.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, duties and responsibilities include;

• Growing long term sales and profits from existing customers
• Managing and developing customer relationships
• Developing monthly forecasts and long term operating plans
• Overseeing the bidding and quoting process to customers
• Inputting quotations, visit reports, customer contact information and market intelligence
• Developing and converting the sales pipeline required to meet/exceed sales forecasts
• Line management and development of Account Management Support person
• Problem solving for customers
• Maintaining regular customer contact
• Undertaking customer visits and attending trade shows

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and successful organisation with opportunities for development. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you hold a full driving licence as you will be required to undertake customer visits.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, customer focus, and flexibility within the role. Candidates who speak an additional European language will be at an advantage.
