Sue Ross Recruitment are currently recruiting a part-time Office and Accounts Assistant for a Manufacturing company based in Chesterfield to work 3 days per week. This varied role combines administrative and accounting responsibilities and would suit an organised self-starter who enjoys multi-tasking and thrives in a busy environment. This is a 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential to develop into a permanent position for the right candidate.


Sue Ross Recruitment are currently recruiting a part-time Office and Accounts Assistant for a Manufacturing company based in Chesterfield to work 3 days per week. This varied role combines administrative and accounting responsibilities and would suit an organised self-starter who enjoys multi-tasking and thrives in a busy environment. This is a 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential to develop into a permanent position for the right candidate.

With office experience, you will use Sage Line 50 to input sales and purchase invoices, assist with month end payment runs, and assist with collating information for the implementation of a new ERP system Sap Business One. Previous accounting experience is not necessarily required, but strong administrative skills and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.

Other responsibilities include:
• Aswering the telephone
• Signing for deliveries
• General office administration
• Dealing with sales and purchase orders
• Assisting with sales price queries
• Requesting VAT invoices
• Matching purchase invoices to Goods Received Notes
• Inputting purchase invoices onto purchase invoice logs
• Assisting with stock counts
• Organising courier collections for deliveries out to customers
• Sending account forms to suppliers and customers
• Updating relevant accounts systems

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with colleagues and suppliers, obtain correct approvals, and chase slow paying customers. You will be able to plan and prioritise effectively and assist with ad hoc project work as required.
