Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading provider to the construction industry in the recruitment of an Inspection & Maintenance Administrator. This post has been newly created following the expansion of the department.



Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading provider to the construction industry in the recruitment of an Inspection & Maintenance Administrator. This post has been newly created following the expansion of the department.



You will be responsible for completing scheduling of inspection personnel to complete onsite inspections for clients, and to track the associated cost against budget. There will be various ancillary activities such as hotel bookings, pre-payment of parking, congestion charging, tolls etc.

Key duties include:

• Scheduling of inspection personnel, to meet client requirements and consistent with efficient working practices, using bespoke in-house software.
• Tracking of actual job cost against tender forecast.
• Liaising as necessary with departmental management to match the skills of personnel to the requirements of the project.
• Liaising with clients on suitable works dates, organising, and associated administration.
• Liaison with third parties such as Network Rail, local authorities and the Canal and Rivers Trust in order to organise possessions, road closures etc.
• Liaison with subcontractors.
• Hiring of access equipment.
• Collation of information for site files, including method statements, risk assessments, location maps etc.
• Despatch of reports to clients and preparation of billing information for in house accounts.
• Dealing promptly with customer complaints or concerns.
• Collating output information for the preparation of tenders.


Required Skills:

• Strong communication skills and organisational abilities.
• Computer literate and experienced in the use of Word and Excel.
• Professional approach to team and client relationships
• Drive and commitment to maintain accuracy of records
• Enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated and with a flexible approach to their job role.
• Experience of a busy office environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Prior experience of scheduling preferred but not essential.
