Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a public sector client based in Sheffield City Centre who are looking for a HR Administrator to work as part of a small team. The successful candidate will have extensive administration experience and ideally a working knowledge of HR. You must be a strong communicator, conveying the positive and professional ethos of the company and you will be able to demonstrate approach to your work. You must have a good technical ability and enjoy working with systems, procedures, and statistical information.

The successful candidate will have extensive administration experience and ideally a working knowledge of HR. You must be a strong communicator, conveying the positive and professional ethos of the company and you will be able to demonstrate approach to your work. You must have a good technical ability and enjoy working with systems, procedures, and statistical information.

Key responsibilities include:

• Co-ordinating office systems and managing information
• Ensuring compliance with current policies, conditions of service and employment legislation
• Liaising with the Payroll team to ensure the accurate processing of payroll information
• Processing invoice requests and documentation
• Maintaining filing systems
• Note taking as required
• Handling recruitment administration tasks as required on a daily basis
• Arranging appointments
• Liaising with individuals, and both internal and external organisations
• Performing switchboard and reception cover duties as required
• Assisting at events
• Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures
• Assisting with the accurate application, maintenance and confidentiality of all HR related records, procedures and systems


You will be an excellent all-round administrator, and the organisation encourage continual learning therefor you must be happy to attend training courses as appropriate. The successful candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
