Our company 
Counter Context is a communications and public affairs company, born and based in Sheffield, with a second office in Manchester. We offer public consultation, stakeholder engagement and promotional services to companies in the built environment, including the renewable energy, transport, residential and commercial development sectors. 

Founded over 22 years ago, we were born on the premise that meaningful, open and two-way communication builds understanding, trust and support for ideas, projects and organisations. This is the ethos that we apply to all our work today and it is how we have built up successful, long-standing relationships with our clients and wider professional networks.

Our work
Under our remit of consultation, engagement and promotion, Counter Context delivers a busy portfolio of services. This includes political analysis and advice, through to event management, media relations, copy writing and design. We plan and deliver integrated communications campaigns for clients that range from local authorities to private development companies, and can last anywhere from months to several years.

Our culture
We are a small team of 18 covering projects across the country. We work extremely hard for our clients, epitomising our core values of ambition and partnership, to deliver only the highest standard of work. Every member of our team naturally shares this desire to do well, to please our clients and to support their team mates to achieve.

Our opportunities
We regularly recruit across all areas of the business. In our client delivery team roles include account executives, managers and directors, with clear progression routes.

We have an in-house creative team including graphic and digital designers, and support functions such as marketing, operations and finance.
